JOB DESCRIPTION
CNA/HHA/NA/PCA
DUTIES:
1. Perform under the supervision of an RN or LPN who has provided written instructions for the patient's care (Care Plan).
2. Provide total care or assist the patient in all activities of daily living and personal care, such as bathing, grooming, linen changes, etc.
3. Assist patient with transfer, ambulation, and exercises as indicated in the Care Plan.
4. Prepare nutritious meals within the patient's diet as indicated in the Care Plan.
5. Perform patient housekeeping chores, facilitating patient self–care in home setting.
6. Assist the patient to the bathroom or using a bedpan.
7. Respond to patient's calls and promptly address their requests.
8. Meet the patient's safety needs and use equipment safely and promptly, such as bedrails and assistive devices.
9. Properly care for and observe the client's skin to prevent the breakdown of tissue over a bony prominence.
10. Observe the patient's general condition and report changes to the supervisor, RN, or LPN.
11. Complete records accurately and carry out all assignments as requested.
JOB LIMITATIONS:
1. Medication or pre-fill insulin syringes may not be administered unless state regulation permits, such as special training and certification.
2. May not perform procedures requiring a licensed nurse's knowledge, training, and skills.
3. May not perform ROM procedures requiring the knowledge and training of a licensed physical therapist.
4. May not transport Medicaid clients in a personal vehicle at any time.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

- Caregiving: 1 year (Preferred)
