Duties
- Open the store promptly at scheduled times, ensuring all systems and cash registers are ready for operation
- Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional customer service with a positive attitude
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately for retail sales transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing
- Stock shelves and coolers with convenience store products, ensuring merchandise is neat, organized, and well-stocked
- Conduct product demos or upselling to promote featured items and increase sales opportunities
- Maintain cleanliness and safety standards throughout the store, including stocking supplies and merchandising displays
- Handle cash drawer operations with precision, balancing registers at shift end and managing cash handling procedures
- Assist with inventory management by stocking new products and conducting basic stock counts as needed
Requirements
- Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is preferred; familiarity with grocery store operations is a plus
- Strong communication skills and phone etiquette to assist customers effectively over the phone or in person
- Bilingual abilities are highly valued to serve diverse customer needs more effectively
- Demonstrated proficiency with POS systems, cash register operations, and retail math for accurate transactions
- Experience in cashiering, cash drawer handling, and retail sales transactions is essential
- Ability to perform basic math calculations quickly and accurately for cash handling and sales processing
- Supervising experience or leadership skills are advantageous for potential growth opportunities
- Knowledge of retail store product knowledge, merchandising techniques, and grocery items enhances customer engagement
