Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs, ensuring a positive experience.
- Manage inventory control by stocking shelves, organizing products, and conducting regular stock checks using tools like RF scanners and inventory management systems.
- Operate equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts safely to load, unload, and transport merchandise within the store or warehouse.
- Support shipping and receiving processes by preparing packages, verifying shipments, and maintaining accurate records.
- Maintain cleanliness of the store including merchandising displays, aisles, produce sections, and backroom storage areas.
- Assist with cashiering duties including processing transactions accurately and handling cash or electronic payments.
- Collaborate with team members on merchandising strategies, promotional displays, and inventory replenishment to maximize sales opportunities.
Skills
- Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail in inventory management and stock control.
- Experience operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and RF scanners is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills in multiple languages are a plus for serving diverse customer bases.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during stocking or unloading activities.
- Prior retail sales or grocery store experience is beneficial for understanding customer needs and retail math principles.
- Knowledge of shipping & receiving procedures along with basic maintenance tasks to ensure store upkeep.
