Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curricula that promote literacy, math, physical activity, and social-emotional skills tailored to each child's developmental stage.
- Provide attentive toddler care and preschool instruction, ensuring children’s safety and well-being at all times.
- Manage classroom behavior with positive reinforcement strategies and effective behavior management techniques.
- Communicate regularly with parents to share progress updates, address concerns, and foster collaborative relationships.
- Conduct child development assessments and utilize standardized testing when appropriate to monitor progress.
- Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that supports active learning and child welfare standards.
- Follow mandated reporting laws diligently to report any concerns related to child safety or welfare.
Experience
- Proven experience working with children in a daycare, preschool, or early childhood education setting.
- Strong background in curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management for young learners.
- Familiarity with special education needs, early intervention strategies, and childhood development principles.
- Knowledge of classroom experience with toddlers and preschool-aged children, including physical education activities.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and team members.
- Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional credentials in childhood development or early childhood education are preferred.
- Prior experience working within private school environments or similar educational institutions is advantageous.
