We need Caregivers
We are seeking compassionate caregivers to join our team at Home Instead in Scranton and surrounding areas. In this role, you will provide essential support to older adults, helping them maintain their independence while receiving the highest quality of care. Your contributions will directly impact the lives of our clients and their families.
SHIFTS blocks available (MUST be able to work all hours on ongoing, weekly basis in one of more of the blocks below):
- 8:00 am -12:00 pm
- 10:00 am - 2:00 pm (NEW SHIFT!)
- 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
- 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm
- 5:00 pm - 10:00 pm
- 8:00 pm - 8:00 am
Caregiver Responsibilities
- Provide personal care services including assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Support clients with medication reminders
- Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental and emotional well-being
- Assist with meal preparation
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and admin team
- Document client progress and report any changes in condition
- Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities
Caregiver Qualifications
- MUST have valid driver's license and your own reliable transportation with proof of current auto insurance
- Ability to lift/push/pull up to 25 lbs
- Ability to successfully complete onboarding pre-employment drug screening and background checks
- Previous experience as a caregiver or in a similar role is preferred
- Familiarity with Alzheimer’s and dementia care practices
- Strong interpersonal skills with a compassionate approach to caregiving
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Reliable transportation for client visits

Pay: $13.00 - $17.00 per hour
