Job description
In this position, you will mainly deliver and manage inventory at customers' designated sites. You will perform the physical or administrative tasks involved in storing, distributing and order fulfillment of products, materials, parts and supplies. Make pick-ups as necessary. Performs general warehouse duties and customer assistance as needed. Performs all job responsibilities in a safe, timely and efficient manner. You must be able to meet the minimum requirements to be put on our insurance.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Drive company commercial vehicles to transport and deliver goods to designated locations in a safe manner and in compliance with all State and Federal standards and regulations. Maintain appropriate licensing, credentials, and acceptable driving record.
· Load truck accurately and safely for customer deliveries.
· Unload truck at customer and/or branch locations.
· Conduct self in a professional and ethical manner at all times. Treat external and internal customers and associates with courtesy and respect.
- Works to ensure the accuracy of shipments to the customer.
- Assist with the VMI customer space/placement, sets up the appropriate area to receive shipment of material and stocks product in the customer's designated area.
- Follows the customer order through from pick-up at our warehouse to delivery and set up at customer site.
- Maintains awareness of min/max, reorder point/quantity
- Recommends changes to the customer inventory levels based on usage.
- Presents information and respond to questions from clients, customers, and managers.
· Assist in maintaining appearance of branch as needed. Clean warehouse, counter area, bathrooms, etc.
· Know location of merchandise in warehouse. Keep material organized and put away.
- Check in and put away material, verifying quantities and quality of received material. Maintain clear isles and walkways. Ensure material is properly organized.
Must be 24 years of age and no accidents in the last 3 years.
Must be able to pass a drug test.
