The Translator-Interpreter provides interpretation services to support effective communication between patients, families, and Schneck Medical Center clinical and non-clinical staff. This role ensures accurate, confidential, and culturally appropriate translation of medical information—including patient registration, informed consent, treatment discussions, and discharge instructions—to promote patient safety, regulatory compliance, and a high-quality patient experience.
This position supports Patient Access and clinical operations by delivering interpretation services to ensure timely access to care.
Schedule: M/W/F 8am - 4pm; T/Th 10am - 6pm
JOB REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION
Minimum: High school diploma or GED/HSE accredited by the State Board of Education, fluency in both English and Spanish
EXPERIENCE
Preferred: Demonstrated ability to accurately interpret medical terminology and conversations, strong interpersonal and communication skills, and prior healthcare interpreter experience.
