Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and versatile Medical Assistant/Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team in a dual role capacity. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in clinical support and administrative duties, with experience across various medical settings including outpatient clinics, hospital medicine, and emergency care. Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly, verify insurance information, and assist with patient intake processes efficiently.
- Obtain vital signs, document medical histories, and prepare patients for examinations in accordance with clinical protocols.
- Support physicians and healthcare providers with procedures as needed
- Manage electronic health record (EHR) systems accurately, including data entry, appointment scheduling, and ICD coding for diagnoses.
- Assist in clinical procedures
- Perform administrative duties such as answering phones, scheduling appointments, managing patient flow, and handling insurance documentation.
- Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment adhering to safety standards and infection control protocols.
Requirements
- Must have CMA or RMA within 6 months of hire.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, ICD coding, and medication administration procedures.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Familiarity with EHR systems and medical administrative support practices including intake procedures and patient service excellence.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in fast-paced environments such as hospital or clinic settings.
- Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with diverse patient populations across outpatient and inpatient care environments.
