Job Opening: Mental Health Therapist
The Cow Creek Health & Wellness Center is excited to announce an opening for a dedicated and skilled Mental Health Therapist. This full-time position offers the opportunity to engage in meaningful work within our community, providing essential mental health services. As a Mental Health Therapist with our organization, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the psychological well-being of individuals and fostering a healthier community. Please note, this is an onsite job opportunity, and not a remote position.
The Mental Health Therapist (MHT) works to provide therapy and counseling services to patients, helping them develop coping strategies, improve their relationships, and achieve emotional wellness.

Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate patients’ mental health needs and develop individualized treatment plans.

Provide therapy and counseling services to individuals, couples, families, and groups.

Help patients identify and address underlying issues contributing to their mental health challenges.

Teach patients healthy coping mechanisms and relaxation techniques.

Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as psychiatrists and social workers, to ensure coordinated care for patients.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.

Stay current on best practices and evidence-based treatment modalities in the field of mental health.

Engage actively with the community to promote mental health awareness and education.

Participate in ongoing professional development and training to enhance therapy and counseling skills.

Implement crisis intervention strategies as needed.

Advise and contribute to policies and procedures within the mental health department to ensure compliance with health regulations.

Provide supervision and guidance to junior therapists and interns.

Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.

Hold current & unencumbered certification with the Oregon Board of Licensed Professional Counselors and Therapists or Oregon Board of Licensed Clinical Social Workers.

Proven experience providing therapy and counseling services to individuals of diverse backgrounds and ages.

Strong understanding of various mental health disorders and treatment approaches.

Excellent communication and active listening skills.

Empathy and compassion for individuals facing mental health challenges.

Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with ethical guidelines and professional standards.

Strong organizational and time management skills to effectively manage a caseload of patients.
