Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Child Care Worker to provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children of various ages. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education, classroom management, and caregiving. This role involves working closely with children, supporting their developmental needs, and fostering a positive learning atmosphere. Experience with children, including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers, is essential to ensure quality care and educational support.
Duties
- Supervise and monitor children during play, meals, naps, and activities to ensure safety at all times
- Implement age-appropriate activities that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment conducive to learning and play
- Assist with potty training and diapering as needed for infants and toddlers
- Support children with special needs or disabilities by adapting activities and providing individualized care
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding children's progress and daily activities
- Follow safety protocols including first aid procedures when necessary
- Manage behavior effectively through positive reinforcement and classroom management techniques
- Collaborate with team members to plan educational activities aligned with childhood development standards
Requirements
- Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or similar settings
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and classroom management strategies
- Certification in first aid and CPR is highly desirable
- Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a plus
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with children, parents, and team members
- Ability to handle multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine interest in nurturing children's growth and learning
- Flexibility to adapt to different age groups such as infants, toddlers, or preschoolers
- Relevant background in early childhood education or caregiving preferred
