Duties
- Greet customers warmly, take their orders accurately, and provide personalized recommendations to enhance their experience
- Prepare a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and light food items following established recipes and quality standards
- Operate POS transactions swiftly and accurately
- Handle cash, credit card payments, and food handling procedures with precision, ensuring proper cash management and register balancing
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food preparation stations and dining spaces in accordance with food safety standards
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers efficiently while maintaining high service standards
- Assist with inventory management by restocking supplies and monitoring product freshness
Qualifications
- Previous barista experience or background in coffee service is highly preferred
- Proven cashiering skills with familiarity in POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and transaction accuracy
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during peak hours
- Experience in food preparation or food service within a café or retail setting is a plus
