Salary Range: $60,000 - $68,000 (Based on Experience)

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Insurance Defense Legal Assistant to support attorneys handling first-party and third-party insurance coverage matters. The ideal candidate will have strong litigation support experience, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced legal environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative and litigation support to insurance defense attorneys
- Draft, format, and proofread legal documents including pleadings, motions, discovery, and correspondence
- Manage case files, including electronic document management and filing systems
- Handle court filings (state and federal e-filing preferred)
- Coordinate attorney calendars, deadlines, hearings, depositions, and client meetings
- Review and organize medical records, claim files, and litigation documents
- Communicate with clients, adjusters, opposing counsel, and court personnel
- Track litigation deadlines and ensure compliance with court rules and procedures
- Assist with trial preparation, including exhibit preparation and witness coordination
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Legal Assistant in Insurance Defense
- Hands-on experience supporting First-Party and Third-Party Coverage matters
- Strong knowledge of litigation procedures and court rules
- Experience with legal document management systems and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple cases simultaneously
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with billing systems and time entry
- Experience working with insurance carriers or defense firms
- Paralegal certificate (a plus, not required)
