As a Sales Associate, you'll be one of the first faces our customers see. You'll guide guests through their cannabis journey, recommend products based on their needs, and ensure every visit is welcoming, informative, and compliant with New York State regulations.
What You'll Do
- Welcome every customer with professionalism, warmth, and enthusiasm.
- Educate customers on cannabis products, including flower, pre-rolls, vapes, concentrates, edibles, beverages, tinctures, and topicals.
- Recommend products based on customer preferences, desired effects, and experience level.
- Process transactions accurately using our point-of-sale system while following all compliance requirements.
- Verify customer identification and ensure all sales comply with New York State cannabis regulations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked sales floor.
- Assist with inventory management, merchandising, product restocking, and receiving deliveries.
- Stay current on new products, promotions, and cannabis education.
- Build lasting relationships with customers by providing an exceptional shopping experience.
- Work collaboratively with teammates to maintain a positive and supportive work environment.
- Contribute to meeting daily sales goals while maintaining a customer-first approach.
What We're Looking For
- Passion for cannabis and a desire to continually expand your product knowledge.
- Outstanding customer service and communication skills.
- Previous retail, hospitality, customer service, or cannabis dispensary experience preferred.
- Experience with POS systems and cash handling.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable, punctual, and professional.
- Comfortable standing for extended periods and lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous cannabis dispensary experience.
- Knowledge of New York cannabis laws and compliance.
- Experience with inventory management and merchandising.
- Sales experience with the ability to build customer relationships and recommend products confidently.
- Must be over 21 years of age.
