We are seeking a reliable and motivated Seasonal Groundskeeper / Landscaper to assist with maintaining the appearance and safety of our outdoor grounds. This position performs a variety of landscaping and grounds maintenance tasks and is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors and in a team‑oriented environment.
This is a seasonal, part-time opportunity within the Public Works Department and will work from mid-April through mid-October.
- Mow lawns, edge walkways, and trim shrubs and trees
- Weed, mulch, rake, and maintain landscaped areas
- Operate and maintain landscaping equipment such as mowers, trimmers, and leaf blowers
- Assist with seasonal cleanup and general grounds maintenance
- Identify and report safety hazards or equipment issues
- Follow all safety procedures and work instructions
- Perform other related duties as assigned
- Ability to perform physically demanding work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform repetitive bending, standing, and walking
- Basic knowledge of landscaping or grounds maintenance tasks
- Ability to safely operate or learn to operate landscaping equipment
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team
- Willingness to work early mornings and occasional weekends as needed
- Previous experience in groundskeeping, landscaping, or outdoor maintenance
- Experience operating commercial landscaping equipment
- Valid driver’s license
- Basic knowledge of plant care, irrigation, or fertilization
- Regular exposure to outdoor weather conditions
- Exposure to noise, dust, pollen, and landscaping equipment
Pay
$15.00 per hour
Work Hours
24-40 hours per week
