Job Overview
As a Server at our legendary comedy club, you are responsible for delivering exceptional food and beverage service while creating a welcoming, energetic, and memorable experience for every guest. Servers are expected to provide attentive, friendly, and efficient service in a fast-paced entertainment environment, maintain thorough knowledge of the menu, accurately process orders and payments, and work collaboratively with fellow team members to ensure smooth operations throughout each show. Professionalism, teamwork, a positive attitude, and the ability to anticipate guests' needs are essential to providing the high level of hospitality our club is known for.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly, present menus, and provide detailed descriptions of food and beverage options to enhance their dining experience
- Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring timely processing of sales transactions
- Serve food and beverages efficiently, including cocktails, spirits, wine, and non-alcoholic drinks, with a focus on presentation and guest satisfaction
- Upsell menu items and specials to maximize sales opportunities while maintaining genuine guest engagement
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and adhering to food safety protocols
- Process cash transactions accurately and handle credit card payments with proficiency using POS systems like OpenTable or similar platforms
- Assist with food handling, preparation support, and basic food safety procedures to ensure quality standards are met consistently
Experience
- Previous food service experience in a restaurant setting is highly preferred, especially in fine dining or hospitality environments
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous; experience with OpenTable is a plus
- Strong knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail preparation, and beverage service techniques
- Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively during busy service periods while providing attentive guest care
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor and the ability to build rapport with diverse guests
- Basic math skills for processing payments accurately and managing tabs seamlessly
- Experience in food handling, sanitation practices, and adhering to food safety regulations is essential
- Knowledge of the food industry trends and culinary terminology will support your success in this role
