Job Description
Registrar manages the daily operations of the Academic Services unit; thinks strategically about ways to enhance the services provided and keeps current on trends at other law schools. Pays particular attention to the ways in which technology can be utilized to improve the level of student service. Works collaboratively with Associate Dean for Students' staff to provide exceptional service to students and faculty.
Essential functions: oversees and tracks course enrollment and registration processes and procedures; and the academic portion of First Year and Transfer Orientation. Prepares course selection information and registration guidelines; answers questions regarding curriculum requirements; serves as School's contact person with adjunct faculty; hires, trains, and manages the members of the Academic Services Team; helps to respond to ABA and AALS surveys. Prepares clearances for graduation and eligibility for honors; serves as liaison with BC Student Services, the Center for International Studies, and the Law School's office of Admissions and Financial Aid. Assists Associate Dean w/determining strategy for implementation of new technologies in Academic Services, w/faculty development and teaching assignments, and special projects. Also serves on committees as assigned by the Dean, and serves as backup administrator for ExamSoft. Works collaboratively w/Associate Dean for Students' office on issues concerning ability of students to succeed in law school; participates in ongoing technical and professional development training and education programs; creates a work unit that values diversity and promotes collaboration; and, makes sound decisions, exercises good judgment, and examines existing issues in new ways.

- Associate Director: $86,300 - $107,850; 3-5 years related professional experience
- Assistant Director: $78,100 - $97,650; 1-3 years experience
Requirements
Bachelor's degree required; master's or JD strongly preferred. Three to five years of higher education experience required, preferably including registrar related experience; administrative experience at a law school desireable. Extensive experience with relevant software required.
