Packing Associate

Core Responsibilities:
Responsible for preparing and examining products for shipment. Packs products according to customer requirements.
Primary Duties:

Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.

Prepares activities to support outgoing and receiving incoming shipments.

Adheres identifying information and shipping instructions onto crates or containers.

Unpacks and examines incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with shipper to rectify damages and shortages.

Examines outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications.

Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies through routine cycle counts.

Operate a hand truck to move, convey, or hoist shipments from the shipping and receiving platform to storage or workstation.

Maintains cleanliness of work area utilizing 5S techniques and methods.

Performs other related duties and assignments as required.
Requirements:
Education and Experience:

High school diploma or GED preferred.

Valid Driver’s License

Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
