Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial semi-trucks.
- Load and unload freight efficiently using appropriate equipment such as forklifts when necessary.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations.
- Follow designated routes diligently while adapting to traffic conditions to meet delivery schedules.
- Secure cargo properly to prevent shifting or damage during transit.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, deliveries, and vehicle maintenance records.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery statuses or any issues encountered on routes.
Skills
- Proven experience in truck driving, including delivery driver roles involving freight handling and route management.
- Proficiency in operating manual transmission vehicles and various types of commercial trucks such as flatbeds, tankers, refrigerated trailers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks.
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations related to commercial driving and cargo securement.
- Ability to load & unload freight efficiently using forklifts or other equipment when required.
- Excellent navigation skills with experience in route planning and route driving optimization.
- Physical stamina for long hours of driving and manual tasks associated with freight handling.

Pay: $58,000.00 - $62,000.00 per year
