Apogee school is looking for highly motivated upper-level math instructors for the 2022-2023 school year. The ideal candidate will have experience teaching math at a 5th-10th grade level while following the IDOE math standards for each grade level. The ideal candidate enjoys working with high ability adolescents ages 9-15. This is a part-time position.
Responsibilities of the Upper-Level Math Instructor will include:

Planning and designing differentiated math instruction for high ability students grades 5-10.

Teaching two separate sections of math (one 5th/7th grade section, and one Algebra I/Geometry section), three times per week.

Assigning homework on a regular basis.

Grading assignments and tests on a regular basis.

Maintaining records on student performance and achievement in math.

Communicating with homeroom teachers and teaching assistants about required assignments, upcoming exams, and individual student needs.
