Moore Family Pharmacy is looking for a part time Pharmacist to join our team. This role would be on a part time basis at our Allegan and Hamilton locations. There could be occasional travel to South Haven, but this would be minimal. Typically schedules would be communicated 2-4 weeks in advance, but there could be some short notice needs that arise. Hour expectations are between 20-30 per week.
The Pharmacist is essential to the success of Moore Family Pharmacy and more importantly, to the good health of our patients. We are seeking a professional and caring individual that will provide our patients with excellent customer service. A great applicant will be able to multi-task and excel in a fast-paced environment.
Job duties include:
- The basic function of the Pharmacist is to ensure that all prescriptions are filled completely and accurately and to carry out the instructions, orders and directions of the company President
- The Pharmacist is responsible for filling and preparing prescriptions as ordered by physicians, keeping the prescription area clean, orderly, well stocked, and overseeing the activities of the Pharmacy Technicians assigned.
- The Pharmacist ensure our patients receive prompt and courteous service and also advise/counsel patients regarding medications.
- The Pharmacist will be responsible for carrying out the President’s goals to run an effective, efficient, and friendly store where the patients are the first priority.
- The Pharmacist will need to maintain Pharmacy records to include, but not limited to, customer profiles, insurance forms, pharmacy record/POS systems, inventories, control records and registries (i.e., poisons, narcotics, controlled substances, etc.)
- Always following the main objective that Moore Family Pharmacy is “Where our Customers Always Come First!”. The Pharmacist is in the forefront of that activity; and ensures that every employee fully supports that priority with prompt and friendly service.
Role Requirements:
- Requires a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy Degree or Doctor of Pharmacy Degree from an accredited College.
- Must be currently licensed by the State Board of Pharmacy and the license must be in good standing.
- Preferably three to five years of employment in an independent drug store or a branch location of a large drug store company. Experience must include prescription counter experience and waiting on patients.
- Must be a dynamic individual with the ability and skills to meet, greet, and serve patients. Knowledge must include experience in a retail drug store.
- Must be able to comprehend business math calculations and be able to comprehend and work with Avoirdupois, Apothecaries’ and Metric measurements.
- Physical requirements are standing the majority of the shift. The ability to help with the unloading of products and then to stock shelves with those products. Lifting cases that can weigh up to 30 pounds is required for Pharmacists.
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA Privacy and Security Rules, pharmacy laws, rules, and guidelines.

Pay: $58.00 - $63.00 per hour
