Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines and vehicles.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues, including engine, transmission, and electrical problems.
- Conduct inspections and preventative maintenance on diesel equipment.
- Repair and replace faulty parts and components, such as brakes, fuel systems, and exhaust systems.
- Weld and fabricate metal parts as needed.
- Use schematics, diagrams, and manuals to guide repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Keep accurate records of all repairs and maintenance performed.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client concerns and answering questions.
Experience:
- Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, including their components and systems.
- Familiarity with diagnostic tools and equipment used in diesel engine repair.
- Experience in equipment repair, including farm machinery or heavy-duty vehicles.
- Proficient in conducting brake repairs and electrical system troubleshooting.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary.
