POSITION SUMMARY:
We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Groundskeeper to help maintain the outdoor appearance, safety, and cleanliness of our facility and surrounding grounds. The ideal candidate is reliable, takes pride in their work, and is committed to maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain the appearance of lawns, landscaped areas, sidewalks, parking lots, and other outdoor spaces.
- Mow, edge, trim, and water lawns, shrubs, hedges, and flower beds.
- Remove weeds, leaves, branches, and other debris from sidewalks, parking areas, and landscaped areas.
- Collect and dispose of trash and litter throughout the property, including cigarette butts near entrances and parking lots.
- Prune shrubs and small trees as needed to maintain a neat appearance.
- Plant flowers, shrubs, and other landscaping materials as directed.
- Operate and maintain groundskeeping equipment such as lawn mowers, string trimmers, blowers, hedge trimmers, and other hand tools safely and properly.
- Assist with seasonal grounds maintenance, including leaf removal and storm cleanup.
- Report safety hazards, damaged equipment, or maintenance concerns to the appropriate supervisor.
- Maintain outdoor furniture, walkways, and common areas to ensure a clean, welcoming environment.
- Follow all safety procedures and properly use assigned equipment and personal protective equipment (PPE).
Qualifications:
- Previous groundskeeping, landscaping, or outdoor maintenance experience preferred.
- Ability to safely operate lawn care and landscaping equipment.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a safe and attractive environment.
- Reliable, dependable, and punctual.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, reach, and work outdoors for extended periods in varying weather conditions.
- Standard work hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m
