Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Metal Framing/ Drywall Superintendent to lead and oversee all aspects of metal framing and drywall installation on our construction projects. This role requires a proactive leader who can coordinate teams, manage schedules, ensure safety compliance, and uphold quality standards across multiple sites. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in commercial construction, excellent management skills, and a passion for delivering projects on time and within scope. As a key player in our construction management team, you will drive project success through effective supervision, technical expertise, and strategic planning.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise metal framing and drywall crews, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to specified quality standards.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to develop and maintain project schedules using construction management software such as ProCore.
- Review construction drawings and technical specifications to interpret design intent accurately and resolve any discrepancies or issues on-site.
- Monitor daily work activities, enforce OSHA safety regulations, federal construction safety standards, and company safety policies to maintain a safe work environment.
- Manage procurement of materials, track inventory levels, and coordinate deliveries to keep projects on schedule.
- Conduct regular site inspections for quality control, adherence to blueprints, and compliance with construction regulations.
- Oversee project documentation including contracts, change orders, RFIs (Request for Information), and progress reports using Bluebeam or similar software.
- Supervise subcontractors and crew members; provide training as needed to ensure proper techniques in metal framing and drywall installation.
- Collaborate on project scheduling efforts, including managing construction timelines and coordinating activities across trades to avoid delays.
- Maintain open communication with management regarding project progress, potential risks, budget considerations, and safety concerns.
Qualifications
- Proven experience supervising metal framing and drywall installation in commercial construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, technical drawings interpretation, and construction drawing review.
- Familiarity with construction management software such as ProCore, Bluebeam, or equivalent tools.
- Demonstrated ability to manage teams effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high safety standards.
- Excellent understanding of construction scheduling, project management principles, budgeting, and quality control processes.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations along with federal construction safety standards; experience implementing safety programs on-site.
- Skilled in managing contracts, change orders, and subcontractor coordination; experience with managing multiple projects simultaneously is preferred.
- Strong communication skills for managerial oversight, crew management, client interactions, and team collaboration.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings accurately; experience with Ohmmeter testing is a plus for electrical component verification.
- Construction site experience in commercial or heavy civil projects; familiarity with pipeline or infrastructure projects is advantageous.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
