Job description:
Baron Communications is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager with strong estimating experience to lead projects from bid through closeout. This position is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, securing profitable work, and managing project execution to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to client expectations.
The ideal candidate has experience managing multiple construction projects while confidently performing takeoffs, developing competitive bids, controlling costs, and leading teams through project completion.
Duties
- Manage projects from pre-construction through closeout
- Lead estimating efforts including takeoffs, bid preparation, and cost analysis
- Review drawings, specs, and scope to develop accurate and competitive bids
- Prepare and manage RFIs, submittals, contracts, and scope proposals
- Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, materials, and field teams
- Develop and maintain project budgets, schedules, and cost controls
- Track costs throughout the project lifecycle to ensure profitability
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, codes, and regulations
- Enforce safety standards and quality control procedures
- Lead meetings and provide updates to clients, stakeholders, and leadership
- Identify risks early and adjust plans to keep projects on track
- Manage client relationships and expectations from bid through completion
Experience
- 3+ years of experience as a Construction Project Manager
- Proven estimating experience including takeoffs, pricing, and bid development
- Demonstrated ability to manage both pre-construction and active construction phases
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Strong understanding of project budgets, job costing, contracts, and scheduling
- Proficiency with construction management and estimating software
- Experience working with subcontractors, suppliers, and field teams
- Strong communication, leadership, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
- Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail
- Government construction experience (NAVFAC, USACE, federal, or military projects) preferred
- Ability to obtain and maintain access to secure facilities and pass an extensive background check
