Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Cath Lab Technician to join a high-acuity cardiovascular team. This role requires strong technical expertise in cardiac catheterization procedures and advanced imaging systems. Schedule & On-Call
- Shift: Days, 4x10s
- Hours: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM (one weekday off)
- On-Call Requirements:
- Typically 1 night per week (5:30 PM – 7:00 AM)
- Every 4th–5th weekend:
- Friday 5:30 PM – Monday 7:00 AM
- On-Call Pay: $4/hr
- Call Back Rate: $93.90/hr
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures
- Operate and maintain advanced imaging equipment
- Monitor patient status and ensure procedural safety
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and care teams
- Document procedures accurately using EMR systems
- Maintain sterile technique and adhere to safety protocols
Required Qualifications
- Recent Cath Lab experience (required)
- Strong proficiency in:
- Cardiac catheterization procedures
- Hemodynamic monitoring
- High-acuity patient environments
Required Certifications & Licensure
- One of the following is required:
- RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) – Preferred & accepted
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
- If ARRT certified:
- Must obtain or hold a New York State Radiologic Technologist License
- (2–4 week processing time; can be obtained during compliance)
Equipment & Systems
- Imaging: Philips X-ray equipment
- Monitoring: Xper system
- EMR Software: Epic
