Occupational Therapist (OT) – Outpatient Adult & Geriatric Care

Salary: $85,000 – $100,000 per year + Performance-based bonus opportunity

We are looking for a caring, motivated Occupational Therapist to provide individualized, hands-on care for adult and geriatric patients. In this role, you will be part of a collaborative clinical team focused on helping patients reach meaningful functional goals and return to the activities that matter most to them.
What You’ll Do
As an Occupational Therapist, you will evaluate patients, create personalized treatment plans, and guide them through therapy programs designed to improve strength, mobility, coordination, independence, and overall quality of life. You will work closely with physicians, physical therapists, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure each patient receives well-rounded, effective care.
Responsibilities
- Perform detailed occupational therapy evaluations to identify patient needs, limitations, and goals
- Create and carry out customized treatment plans based on each patient’s condition and progress
- Provide evidence-based therapy for a variety of adult and geriatric diagnoses
- Help patients improve their ability to complete daily activities at home and in the community
- Educate patients and caregivers on exercises, adaptive techniques, safety strategies, and assistive equipment
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support positive patient outcomes
- Track patient progress and update treatment plans as needed
- Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with compliance standards
- Stay current with occupational therapy best practices and clinical advancements
What We’re Looking For
- Active New Jersey Occupational Therapy License required
- At least 1 year of outpatient experience preferred
- Experience working with adult and geriatric patients
- Strong clinical judgment, treatment planning, and case management skills
- Familiarity with medical terminology and basic imaging concepts
- Hand Therapy certification is a plus
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care
- Ability to stay organized and provide quality care in a busy outpatient setting
- Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
