Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist with their food orders, ensuring accuracy and prompt service.
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process transactions efficiently and accurately.
- Handle cash, credit card, and digital payments with precision, maintaining proper cash handling procedures.
- Prepare simple food items following safety and sanitation guidelines, including basic food preparation tasks.
- Upsell menu items or products to enhance customer experience and increase sales opportunities.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, counters, and food prep stations by bussing tables and sanitizing surfaces regularly.
- Follow food safety protocols, including proper food handling, sanitation practices, and adhering to health regulations.
- Support team members during busy periods by assisting with food service, cashiering, or food prep as needed.
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation or food service environments; familiarity with quick service or fast-food restaurants is a plus.
- Knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for smooth transaction processing.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and positively with diverse customers.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and managing sales transactions accurately.
- Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail.
- Experience in food safety practices, sanitation standards, and proper food handling procedures.
- Previous restaurant or retail experience is preferred; familiarity with café or grocery store environments is advantageous.
