Position Summary:
The Vice President of Produce Sales will architect, lead, and scale Ripe Inc.’s fresh produce division. This role is responsible for building and managing a high-performing sales team, owning divisional sales quotas, and driving strategic growth across wholesale, retail, process, and excess markets.
As an executive leader, this individual will combine deep industry knowledge with operational excellence to expand our footprint, strengthen grower and buyer relationships, and ensure profitability across the supply chain. The VP of Produce Sales will also serve as a key voice in Ripe’s leadership team, aligning commercial strategy with the mission to Revive Communities Through Food.

Key Responsibilities:
· Build and lead a high-performing produce sales team, including hiring, mentoring, and performance management.
· Develop and own team-wide revenue, margin, and volume quotas across brokerage and direct sales channels.
· Drive strategic partnerships with retailers, processors, and distributors to maximize category penetration.
· Oversee forecasting, CRM utilization, and pipeline reporting to deliver consistent, data-driven sales growth.
· Oversee production flow, demand planning, inventory turnover, and sales management across key commodity groups.
· Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Logistics, and Finance to ensure fulfillment, margin integrity, and service excellence.
· Represent Ripe Inc. at major produce trade shows, grower summits, and industry events.
· Oversee development and implementation of new product offerings and go to market strategies.
· Contribute to leadership strategy, budgeting, and growth planning as part of the executive team.
Qualifications:
· 7+ years of produce sales or brokerage experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership or quota-owning management role.
· Proven ability to recruit, coach, and lead successful sales teams.
· Deep relationships within the produce industry, including retail, wholesale, and foodservice buyers.
· Strong understanding of perishables, seasonality, and cold-chain logistics.
· Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership presence.

Location Onsite, Rocky Mount, NC
Travel Requirements Regular travel to client and prospect meetings, along with industry events
Physical Requirements ability to lift 50lbs.

This position will offer a competitive base salary + an uncapped commission structure.
