Gaviña Coffee Company is looking for friendly, motivated "Brand Ambassadors" to promote and sell our Jose’s Coffee as part of our Costco Roadshow team in the San Diego market area. Must have your own transportation and be willing to work overtime as needed. The days for this position are Thursday through Sunday(you'll be off Monday through Wednesday!). This is a great position with nice pay for a person who loves coffee and doesn't want to sit behind a desk for a living.
Job Summary
Our club store Coffee Demonstrators will set up Road Show kiosks for the company at a variety of Costco store locations throughout the San Diego Metro Area to engage customers and generate sales of the Jose’s Coffee brand. They will brew coffee and provide samples, answer product questions, and sign up customers to follow us for repeat business. The ideal candidates will be road warriors who are able to travel to different locations as needed as well as to the headquarters in Vernon (near Downtown Los Angeles) 3 or 4 times a year.
Essential Functions
- Act as a product specialist for Jose’s Coffee flavors, prices, and coffee origins
- Understand and communicate coffee grinding and brewing techniques
- Transport and set up the road show at different locations to attract the attention of customers
- Offer coffee samples to Costco members and suggest specific product purchases
- Promote sales and a positive image of Jose’s Coffee brand
- Maintain Road Show set up and keep it presentable and clean
- Ensure that all product is properly price marked and displayed
- Thoroughly inventory entire product line at the beginning and end of each day
- Maintain and properly submit work-related reporting, paperwork, and timekeeping information in a prompt and accurate manner.
- Follow safety guidelines while setting up and using Road Show equipment
- Be punctual and keep kiosk manned at all times
- Sign customers up on the company email list
- Follow all Costco guidelines and food safety regulations during demonstrations
Job Specifications
- Valid Driver’s License
- Barista, merchandiser, or retail experience helpful
- Access to personal transportation
- Enthusiastic and effective face-to-face communication skills
- Reliable with an impeccable work ethic and ability to work with minimal supervision
- Able to provide outstanding customer service
- Must be organized and provide thorough and detailed follow-up
- Must be dependable and punctual with exceptional self-management skills
- Must be available to work all days, Thursday through Sunday
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
- Able to move, bend, twist and reach as needed to set up equipment in a variety of locations and spaces
- Must be able to stand for between 8 to 10 hours
- Speaking: able to talk to customers clearly and effectively to convey product information
- Listening: able to hear customer questions and feedback
- Ability to handle driving long distances for special events
