Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team. Duties
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history documentation using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
- Provide emergency interventions such as airway management, IV infusion, suturing, and aseptic technique to stabilize patients.
- Administer medications accurately, including pain management and botulinum toxin treatments when applicable, following strict protocols and HIPAA regulations.
- Coordinate diagnostic evaluations like laboratory testing, radiology (including CT imaging), and specimen collection/processing to support rapid decision-making.
- Manage acute pain and trauma cases within a Level I or Level II trauma center setting, ensuring adherence to trauma medicine standards.
- Assist with complex procedures such as cardiac catheterization, ventilator management, dialysis access care, and ostomy care as needed.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on discharge planning, case management, and patient education to promote recovery and safety post-visit.
Skills
- Proven experience working in emergency medicine or urgent care environments with strong triage skills.
- Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems such as Cerner or Epic for accurate medical documentation and medical records management.
- Critical care experience including ICU or PICU settings is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of infectious disease care protocols and infection control practices.
- Skilled in advanced procedures like tube feeding management, catheterization (urinary and vascular), phlebotomy, and sterile processing techniques.
- Familiarity with ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10) for accurate documentation of diagnoses.
- Ability to handle high-pressure situations with excellent patient assessment skills and physiology knowledge.
- Experience working with diverse populations including pediatrics, geriatrics, individuals with disabilities or developmental delays, memory care patients, and those requiring hospice & palliative medicine services.

Pay: $65.00 - $70.00 per hour
