Overview
Point Predictive is redefining fraud detection and risk decisioning for lenders through large-scale consortium data, machine learning, and real-time systems. a Senior Accountant/ Analyst that has responsibility for Accounting, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and HR duties. This is a critical position with high impact and visibility that requires a dynamic, hands-on individual who is driven, results focused, detail oriented, self-starting, can-do attitude and has a roll up your sleeves and get it done mindset. The position is an in-office 5 days per week in San Diego, CA, and reports to the CFO.
Responsibilities of the role:
Accounting:
- Performing and owning daily, monthly, quarterly accounting functions for Billing, Collections, Accounts Payable (AP), balance sheet reconciliations, month-end close journal entries, and monthly supporting schedules and reports.
- Ensures a high-quality close, reporting accuracy and review with CFO and certain members of the leadership team including CEO while adhering to company policies and controls.
- Review and solve all the tax related filings either directly through the company or through the company’s CPA firm.
- Support company external audit and tax filing preparation.
- Other projects as assigned.
FP&A:
- Prepare / assist on the monthly Board of Directors reporting package for the as per the company deadlines and provide to CFO for review.
- Assist with preparation of company and department financial forecasts and annual budgets.
- Prepare the monthly compliance reporting package for the bank/s.
- Other projects as assigned.
HR Coordinator:
- Own and execute the new hire onboarding and offboarding process.
- Assist CFO in annual benefit program renewals, total rewards including company’s bonus program.
- Run company’s bi-weekly payroll and own payroll management processes.
- Other projects as assigned.
Contracts Administration:
- Support Chief Compliance Officer and sales team with NDAs and contracts administration
- Contract renewal tracking and reporting
- Other projects as assigned.
Key Qualifications:
- At least 4 to 7+ years experience with growing responsibilities in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources
preferably in Software, SaaS industry.
- Passion for accuracy, timeliness, and high quality.
- Prior work experience with a company that is multi-state.
- Strong Excel, Microsoft Office Suite Keynote (Mac) and willingness to learn new technologies / tools.
- Strong bookkeeping skills on all areas of financials – billing, revenue, expenses, fixed assets.
- Excellent financial and analysis skills and a solid background in GAAP accounting and finance principles.
- Strong business sense and communication skills.
- Experience with new process development and implementation efforts.
- Demonstrated results orientation along with a high degree of integrity.
- Experience Closing Multiple Company Books preferable.
- Demonstrated ability to function effectively in a fast-paced, high-energy startup environment.
- Financial / ERP Systems: QuickBooks Online (required), NetSuite.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting preferred but not required.
- CPA certification preferred but not required.
Pay: $100,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
