Looking for a career where your voice and your hustle actually matter?
At Osborne Trucking and H&O Distribution, we don’t do "corporate fluff." We’re a straight-shooting team in the middle of a massive industry boom. We need a Talent Acquisition Specialist who is organized, high-energy, and ready to help us build the future of our fleet and warehouse.
The Reality: Why This Role Matters
You aren’t just "filling seats." You are the engine behind the supply chain. Every employee you hire ensures food stays on shelves and businesses keep running.
- Active Listening: You'll spend your day talking to people from all walks of life. We need you to hear what they aren't saying.
- The Gatekeeper: You have the autonomy to sell the dream, but also the authority to walk away. We value quality and culture over "hitting a quota" with the wrong people.
- Radical Transparency: "My recruiter lied to me" is the #1 reason people leave this industry. At Osborne, we shoot straight. We want someone who values integrity and clear communication above all else.
How You’ll Make an Impact:
- Own the Pipeline: From the first "hello" to the final onboarding step, you manage the candidate experience with precision and follow-through.
- Consultative Recruiting: Partner with our Safety and Warehouse Directors to identify exactly what our team needs and hunt for that specific talent.
- Professional Grit: You’ll handle challenging personalities and hear "no" a lot. You’ll learn how to turn those into "maybes" and eventually "yeses."
What the First 90 Days Look Like:
We don’t expect you to know the trucking industry on Day 1.
- First 30 Days: Shadow our senior team and learn the "Osborne Way." You’ll start making initial contacts and learning our tracking systems.
- 60 Days: You’ll begin vetting candidates independently and managing your own follow-up schedule.
- 90 Days: You’ll be a "first line of defense," making the call on who is a fit for our culture and helping lead orientation for new hires.
What You Bring:
- A "Finisher" Mindset: You hate leaving tasks half-done. Your detail-orientation is your superpower.
- High EQ: You can navigate "difficult" conversations with empathy and firm boundaries.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree (Marketing, Communications, or Sales) preferred with 1-2 years experience in your related field.
- Presence: This is a full-time, in-office role. Why? Because the fastest way to grow your career is through proximity to leadership and real-time mentorship.
The Perks:
- Salary + Growth: Competitive pay with a $150 - $500 retention bonuses for the talent you bring on.
- Peace of Mind: Free base medical, vision, and $150k life insurance that starts at day of hire. Plus dental, voluntary life insurance, short and long term disability.
- Support: Access to a team of industry veterans who have your back.
