Job Description
We are seeking a motivated HVAC Apprentice to assist experienced HVAC technicians with service, maintenance, repairs, installations, and equipment replacements. This is a great opportunity for someone who is mechanically inclined, reliable, and willing to learn the HVAC trade from experienced professionals.
The HVAC Apprentice will help with tools, materials, equipment setup, filter changes, coil cleaning, drain line cleaning, preventative maintenance, and general jobsite support. The right candidate will have a good attitude, show up on time, follow directions, and take pride in their work.
Responsibilities
Assist HVAC technicians with service calls, maintenance, and installations
Help inspect, clean, and maintain HVAC equipment
Change filters, clean coils, clear drain lines, and assist with preventative maintenance
Carry tools, parts, ladders, and equipment as needed
Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe
Learn how to properly diagnose and repair HVAC systems
Follow company safety procedures and technician instructions
Take photos, document work performed, and assist with job notes when needed
Represent the company professionally with customers and team members
Requirements
No HVAC experience required, but mechanical experience is a plus
Must be dependable and willing to work full-time
Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Must be able to lift, carry, climb ladders, and work on rooftops when needed
Must be willing to work outside in hot and cold weather
Must have a positive attitude and willingness to learn
Must be able to follow directions and work well with others
EPA certification is a plus but not required
Trade school or HVAC classes are a plus but not required
Preferred Skills
Basic knowledge of hand tools and power tools
Mechanical ability
Good communication skills
Strong work ethic
Interest in building a career in HVAC
