Greenhouse Winery is seeking energetic, outgoing, and hospitality-focused individuals to join our growing team as Hospitality & Guest Experience Associates.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys creating memorable guest experiences, building relationships, learning about wine, and working in a fast-paced hospitality and event environment. We are particularly interested in candidates with backgrounds or education in hospitality, tourism, event management, restaurant management, communications, marketing, business, or related fields.
This role begins as a part-time position (approximately 32 hours per week) with the opportunity to transition to full-time employment following a successful 90-day introductory period based on performance, reliability, cultural fit, and business needs.
Position Overview
As a Hospitality & Guest Experience Associate, you serve as one of the primary ambassadors of the Greenhouse Winery brand. You will guide guests through wine tastings, provide exceptional hospitality, support beverage and food service, promote winery events and products, and help create experiences that encourage guests to return again and again.
This role combines hospitality, wine service, bartending, retail sales, event support, guest engagement, and operational support. Depending on business needs, associates may conduct wine tastings, serve wine and beer, prepare a limited menu of mixed drinks, assist with light food offerings, support events, and help maintain an exceptional guest experience throughout the winery.
Key ResponsibilitiesGuest Experience & Hospitality
- Create a welcoming, memorable, and service-focused experience for every guest
- Conduct wine tastings and educate guests on winery products
- Build relationships that encourage repeat visits and Wine Club memberships
- Resolve guest concerns professionally and escalate issues when necessary
- Maintain a positive, energetic, and hospitality-driven atmosphere
- Represent Greenhouse Winery professionally at all times
Beverage Service & Bartending
- Prepare and serve a limited menu of mixed drinks according to winery standards
- Pour and serve wine, beer, and other approved alcoholic beverages responsibly
- Verify identification and ensure compliance with all PLCB and RAMP requirements
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of bar service areas
- Assist with opening, closing, stocking, and beverage preparation activities
- Deliver friendly and efficient service during high-volume periods and special events
Light Food Service
- Assist with preparation, plating, and service of approved food offerings
- Follow food handling and sanitation requirements
- Maintain cleanliness of food preparation and service areas
- Monitor product levels and communicate restocking needs to management
Wine, Retail & Event Sales
- Recommend wines, merchandise, gift baskets, and winery experiences
- Promote upcoming events, Wine Club memberships, and seasonal offerings
- Support sales goals through exceptional customer engagement
- Assist guests with product selection and purchasing decisions
Tasting Room Operations
- Operate POS systems accurately and efficiently
- Process transactions in accordance with PLCB requirements
- Maintain clean, organized, and attractive guest-facing areas
- Assist with stocking, merchandising, inventory, and daily operational tasks
Events & Winery Support
- Assist with event setup, execution, and breakdown
- Support concerts, festivals, weddings, private events, and winery programming
- Help ensure smooth guest flow during busy periods
- Provide operational support as needed throughout the winery
QualificationsPreferred Qualifications
- Hospitality, restaurant, bartending, brewery, winery, hotel, country club, catering, tourism, or event management experience preferred
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
- Previous wine, beer, cocktail, or food service experience strongly preferred
- Experience with POS systems and cash handling preferred
- Wine knowledge is a plus but not required

- Willingness to learn wine knowledge, hospitality standards, and winery operations
- RAMP Certification (or ability to obtain)
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift and move up to 40 pounds
- Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ability to assist with event setup and operational activities
