Candidates Work Requirements, Experience & Expectations:
- Education equivalent to the completion of the 12th grade.
- Ability to maintain clear and accurate records and to charge clients for all products and services rendered.
- Ability to properly restrain patients.
- Ability to complete assigned tasks in the time allotted without direct supervision.
- Ability to show empathy toward clients and treat animals with respect and compassion.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
- A commitment to outstanding client service.
- Ability to lift objects weighing 50 pounds without assistance and objects weighing more than 50 pounds with assistance.
- Ability to stay on task and work energetically for entire shift, sometimes exceeding 10 hours per day.
- Willingness to be trained in any skills necessary to complete the job.
- At least two years of recent experience in veterinary practice or medical environment, with increasing responsibilities.
- Required: 1 yr or more experience in performing routine veterinary medical procedures (e.g., collect samples, draw blood, administer vaccines, IV, xray).

Schedule:
- Full time shifts are typically 4 days/week from 7:15 am - 6:00 pm (with the same day off every week).

Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians in examinations and procedures, ensuring the comfort and safety of animals.
- Handle and restrain animals during treatments and examinations.
- Administer medications and assist with laboratory tests as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the clinic, including kennels and treatment areas.
- Provide excellent client service through effective communication and education regarding pet care.
- Utilize veterinary terminology to document patient information accurately.

Pay: From $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35.0 – 40.0 per week
