Duties
- Greet guests warmly and efficiently seat them using OpenTable or similar reservation systems
- Take accurate food and beverage orders, utilizing POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Upsell menu items including breakfast specials, beverages, spirits, and wine to enhance guest experience and increase sales
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
- Handle cash transactions accurately, process sales, and manage POS operations with basic math skills
- Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are strictly followed during food handling and serving processes
- Assist with bussing tables, resetting dining areas quickly to accommodate new guests
- Provide excellent guest relations by responding promptly to inquiries and resolving any issues with professionalism
- Support kitchen staff with basic food preparation when needed, maintaining a clean and organized work area
- Maintain knowledge of menu offerings including cocktail options, wine pairings, and spirits to assist guest selections effectively
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments preferred; fine dining experience is a plus
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is highly desirable
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude
- Knowledge of food safety protocols and sanitation standards in the food industry
- Ability to manage time efficiently in a fast-paced setting while multitasking seamlessly
- Experience with wine knowledge, spirits, cocktails, and upselling techniques is advantageous
- Excellent communication skills and guest relations abilities
- Basic math proficiency for cashiering and sales transaction processing
- Prior host/hostess or serving experience is beneficial but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Must be able to work both weekend mornings
