The Room Lead supports production rooms and supports machine operators to ensure production runs efficiently and that production and quality goals are met.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities

Support a culture of safe production and safe work practices.

Ensure there is enough material to run the entire shift, and that all materials are recorded.

Verify item/quantity allocated /quantity remaining is correct on job tickets.

Assess your labor at the beginning of the shift to ensure ability to run efficiently.
- Ensure all employees on the line can perform each task assigned.

Cross trains all employees on all tasks in each room and ensure proper rotations every 2 hours.
- Work with Floor Production Leads to coach and counsel employees on performance per assigned task.

Oversee the functionality of the metal detector, including training and testing.
- Verify the quality conditions of all end products to ensure compliance with product specifications.
- Verify and document units required per hour and percentages and that all paperwork is filled out entirely at the scheduled times.

Utilize Redzone for the required line checks per order and enter appropriate downtime categories.

Ensures that all work activities are performed with attention to the highest standards for quality, safety and compliance with all appropriate legal and food safety requirements and a focus on continuous improvement.
Education and Qualifications

HS Diploma or Equivalent
-
3-5 years production lead experience in a manufacturing setting is required

Able to work flexible schedules including overtime.

Strong interpersonal and leadership skills to motivate and lead employees.

Bilingual (Able to read, write, and speak English and Spanish)
- Must have reliable transportation

Standing: Remaining upright on the feet, particularly for sustained periods of time.

Walking: Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances or moving from one work site to another.

Food Safety Responsibilities
