Duties:
- Assist veterinarians in providing care to animals
- Handle and restrain animals during examinations and procedures
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by veterinarians
- Prepare and maintain examination rooms and equipment
- Collect and prepare laboratory samples for testing
- Perform routine laboratory tests and procedures
- Clean and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment
- Provide post-operative care to animals
- Educate pet owners on proper animal care and medication administration
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience working with animals
- Knowledge of animal behavior and handling techniques
- Basic understanding of veterinary medical terminology
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Note: Dog training and pet grooming experience are not directly relevant to the role of a veterinary assistant. However, if the candidate possesses these skills, it may be considered an additional asset.

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
