We are seeking a skilled and safety-focused Industrial Millwright to support the maintenance and reliability of our cement grinding facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining mechanical equipment to ensure safe and efficient plant operation.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical equipment throughout the facility.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on grinding mills, conveyors, bucket elevators, pumps, fans, and related equipment.
- Replace bearings, belts, chains, couplings, and other mechanical components.
- Perform equipment alignments and mechanical adjustments.
- Assist with plant shutdowns, repairs, and equipment installations.
- Inspect equipment and identify potential mechanical issues before failures occur.
- Maintain maintenance records and complete assigned work orders.
- Follow all plant safety, environmental, and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
- Maintain clean and organized work areas.
Required Qualifications
- Previous millwright, mechanical maintenance, or industrial maintenance experience.
- Cement plant or mining facility experience preferred.
- Knowledge of bearings, gearboxes, conveyors, pumps, fans, and rotating equipment.
- Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals and maintenance procedures.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to perform physically demanding work in an industrial environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with grinding mills and bulk material handling systems.
- Welding and fabrication experience.
- Experience performing equipment alignments.
- Forklift, aerial lift, or mobile equipment operating experience.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $55,000 – $65,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications
