Responsibilities
- Assist in menu planning to ensure diverse and appealing meal options that meet dietary needs and preferences
- Prepare and cook food items with attention to presentation, flavor, and quality standards
- Handle food safely by following proper food handling procedures and maintaining hygiene standards
- Serve meals efficiently while providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment
- Support catering events by preparing large quantities of food and ensuring timely delivery
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen and dining areas, including equipment sanitation and organization
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations and uphold safety protocols
Experience
- Previous dietary department experience or dietary aide experience is highly preferred
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food service within a restaurant or hospitality setting
- Experience with menu planning, meal preparation, and food handling techniques
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices for maintaining hygiene standards
- Culinary experience in fine dining or similar upscale environments is a plus
- Proficiency in knife skills, food industry standards, and kitchen equipment operation
- Demonstrated ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
