About the Role
As the Logistics & Supply Chain Coordinator, you will own the controlled flow of materials, purchasing data, inventory, and outbound shipments from supplier through customer. This role administers purchasing and ERP workflows, coordinates receiving and inspection status, protects inventory accuracy and production availability, and ensures compliant orders ship on time, every time.
Key Responsibilities
- Purchasing & ERP Workflows: Manage purchasing from approved request through quote comparison, PO generation, approvals, receipts, invoice reconciliation, and record closure within the ERP and Integrated Management System.
- Supplier Coordination: Maintain approved supplier, item, lead-time, pricing, and order information. Proactively escalate shortages, delays, cost variances, or quality risks before they impact production.
- Receiving & Traceability: Receive inventory and non-inventory items; verify identity, quantity, condition, and inspection requirements. Maintain quarantine, release, rejection, and traceability status before use.
- Inventory Control: Maintain item masters, lot/serial records, bin locations, inventory moves, cycle counts, adjustments, reorder points, and material staging to support production needs.
- Logistics & Order Fulfillment: Coordinate order-to-delivery across Sales, Customer Service, Production, Quality, Finance, and carriers. Confirm finished goods release, packaging, labels, shipping constraints, and delivery commitments.
- Data & Reporting: Maintain logistics/purchasing records, dashboards, and recurring business reports. Analyze ERP data for inventory accuracy, supplier performance, purchasing trends, costs, and on-time delivery.
- Quality & Audits: Support supplier qualification, monitoring, CAPA follow-ups, freight claims, returns, nonconforming materials, inventory investigations, and audit readiness.
- Compliance: Follow the Integrated Management System, purchasing/inventory controls, inspection plans, safety requirements, and applicable ISO, GMP, customer, and regulatory standards.
QualificationsRequired:
- Education & Experience: Associate degree (or equivalent experience) plus 3+ years in logistics, purchasing, inventory control, warehouse operations, supply chain, or business administration.
- Industry Background: Experience in a regulated or quality-managed industry (e.g., diagnostics, medical devices, pharma, food, biotech, aerospace, or automotive) working under ISO, GMP, FDA, or equivalent controls.
- Technical & Soft Skills: Working knowledge of purchasing approvals, POs, receiving, inspection status, inventory transactions, shipping, ERP records, and Microsoft 365. Strong cross-functional communication, accuracy, organization, and follow-through.
Preferred:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, Business, or a related field.
- Technical: Experience with major ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite, Epicor, etc.), Power BI, workflow automation, or master-data administration.
- Specialized Expertise: Experience with supplier qualification/audits, inspection plans, nonconforming materials, CAPA, lot traceability, cycle counting, bin-location control, freight claims, or domestic/international shipping constraints.
Physical & Work Requirements
- Regular computer and ERP work combined with movement through receiving, warehouse, production, and shipping areas.
- Physical tasks include standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting/moving up to 40 lbs with assistance.
- Use of required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Occasional schedule flexibility for urgent receipts, shipments, or inventory activities.
