General Description:
Prevailing Wage Payroll Specialist is responsible for processing company payroll for prevailing wage jobs in multiple states.
Essential Job Functions
- Manage Prevailing wage process, including Davis Bacon, California DIR and state of Nevada wage and reporting requirements.
- Maintain current prevailing wages for Davis Bacon, DIR and Nevada and provide the Estimating team for bidding.
- Report hours and fringe benefit information for monthly trust fund reporting and process payments.
- Prepare Certified payroll in LCP Tracker, Elations, DIR and other required systems.
- In charge of completing all required forms and notices, including DAS 140 & DAS 142
- Maintain full compliance with apprenticeship requirements including reporting and payments to California Apprenticeship Council and state of Nevada.
- Track and maintain section 3 hiring for required projects.
- Review sign in sheets for correct labor classifications and hours.
Skills/Abilities Education/Experience/Licenses/Certifications
- 5+ years of prevailing wage payroll processing experience in the construction industry.
- Knowledge of Davis Bacon, California DIR and State of Nevada prevailing wage policies and processes.
- Excel and Outlook skills and experience
- Experience with payroll and electronic timekeeping systems
- High level of attention to detail
- Strong math and analytical skills
- Spanish speaking preferred but not required
- Prepare weekly wage adjustments and journal entries for accounting ERP.
- Process weekly payroll for prevailing wage projects
KPI’s
- Largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand for periods of time.
Pay: $38.00 - $42.00 per hour
