Responsibilities will span systems engineering activities supporting Mainframe (System z) Storage projects with varying degrees of complexity - includes system design, build, development, implementation, maintenance, operations, and client support across infrastructure and software. Ability to work under minimal supervision from more seasoned consultants or managers - includes support of senior personnel and project managers on technical projects; may assist and help train junior analysts - includes guiding and providing technical peer reviews. Ability to work on complex problems where analysis of situation or data requires an in-depth evaluation of various factors; exercises judgment within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criterion for obtaining results. DASD management and replication skills: Experienced MF Storage administrator with a minimum of 5-10 years of experience • Strong technical documentation writing skills • Experience with Hitachi Vantara DASD synchronous and asynchronous replication • Experience with IBM TAPE GRID configurations • Experience with Broadcom (Brocade) FICON directors and channel extension • Involved with implementation of new MF Storage technologies • In-depth knowledge of ACC/SRS, ACS, DFHSM, ICKDSF, CA1, User Catalogs, ABARS, TDMF, and DFDSS • Self-starter and able to work without hands-on supervision • Proficient with SAS, VISIO, MS Office, and REXX • Project management skills • Assembler, CLIST, and REXX knowledge • Conceptual understanding of Mainframe Operations
