Description:
A manufacturing machine maintenance technician keeps factory equipment running safely and well by performing routine checks, fixing broken parts, and solving mechanical or electrical problems. Key duties involve preventive maintenance, troubleshooting sudden breakdowns, and repairing automated systems
Responsibilities:
· Preventive Care: Run regular tests, lubricate moving parts, change filters, and follow a calendar to stop problems before they start.
· Troubleshooting & Repair: Find the source of machine errors, replace broken parts like pumps or belts, and fix electrical, hydraulic, or pneumatic issues.
· Setup & Testing: Test machines after a fix to make sure they run safely and meet production goals.
· Record Keeping: Log all work done using a computer database or software system
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED; technical school certificates or training are a big plus.
- Experience: Usually 2 to 5 years of hands-on work in a factory or industrial setting.
- Technical Knowledge: Understanding of electrical wiring (up to 480V), pneumatics, hydraulics, and basic PLC ( Programmable Logic Controller) systems.
- Physical Strength: Ability to lift heavy items (up to 50 lbs), stand for long periods, and climb ladders.
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
