Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curricula that incorporate literacy education, math, physical education methods to support holistic child development.
- Create engaging lesson plans tailored to various developmental stages, including toddlers and preschoolers, ensuring activities promote cognitive, social, and emotional growth.
- Manage classroom environments effectively through strong classroom management and behavior management techniques that encourage positive interactions and discipline.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to provide updates on their child's progress, behavior, and developmental milestones.
- Conduct assessments using standardized testing tools to monitor progress and inform instructional strategies.
- Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws by accurately documenting incidents or concerns related to child welfare or safety.
- Maintain a safe environment by adhering to health guidelines such as first aid and CPR procedures while promoting overall child welfare.
Requirements
- 19 years or older
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners.
- Ability to plan lessons that incorporate literacy education, math concepts, physical activities, and social-emotional learning.
- Certification in first aid and CPR; ongoing training in mandated reporting laws is preferred.
- Familiarity with child welfare policies and standards for daycare operations.
