Job Title: Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) – School-Based (1:1 Support)
Location: Somerdale Park NJ

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Pay Rate: $30/hour
Position Overview:
We are seeking a qualified and compassionate Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to provide 1:1 support for a 5th grade student who is on the autism spectrum
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct 1:1 behavioral support throughout the school day
- Implement behavior intervention plans (BIPs) and ABA-based strategies under BCBA supervision
- Support transitions, classroom engagement, and daily routines
- Use proactive de-escalation techniques and reinforcement strategies
- Provide clear, structured instructions to reduce confusion and support learning
- Collect and document behavioral and progress data accurately
- Collaborate with teachers, BCBA, and related service providers
- Maintain a calm, patient, and professional approach in all situations
Qualifications:
- Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification required
- Experience working with students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and behavioral needs preferred
- School-based or pediatric experience strongly preferred
- Strong behavior management, communication, and de-escalation skills
- Ability to follow behavior plans and work as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Reliable, consistent, and professional
Work Environment:
- Elementary school setting
- 1:1 assignment with a 5th grade student
- Supportive team focused on successful reintegration into the school environment
This is a structured, full-time school-based opportunity for a RBT looking to make a meaningful impact by supporting a student’s transition back into a classroom setting with individualized behavioral and academic support.
