Overview
Join our dynamic hospitality team as a Busser/Food Runner, where your energy and enthusiasm will help create memorable dining experiences for our guests. In this vital role, you will support the front-of-house operations by ensuring tables are promptly cleared and reset, delivering food swiftly from the kitchen to guests’ tables, and assisting with overall guest satisfaction. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills in food service, customer interaction, and restaurant operations within a lively and welcoming environment. Paid training is provided, and your contributions are essential to our success!
Responsibilities
- Clear and reset tables efficiently to maintain a clean and inviting dining area.
- Deliver food orders from the kitchen to guests’ tables accurately and promptly, ensuring presentation standards are met.
- Assist servers with bussing duties, including removing used dishes, glassware, and utensils while adhering to safe handling practices.
- Support the kitchen team with basic food handling and preparation tasks as needed, maintaining food safety standards.
- Communicate effectively with team members using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS to ensure smooth service flow.
- Help set up banquet or special event areas when required, contributing to seamless event execution.
- Uphold all safety protocols related to manual handling, heavy lifting, and safe lifting practices during daily tasks.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are key!
- Knowledge of food handling, serving techniques, and basic kitchen operations is advantageous.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting and moving supplies or equipment.
- Strong communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and provide excellent guest service.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS enhances efficiency but is not mandatory; training will be provided.
- Experience in banquet service or hotel hospitality settings is a plus.
- Demonstrated commitment to food safety standards and customer satisfaction.
