About the Role
The Regional Operations Manager is responsible for the operational, financial, and people performance of an assigned portfolio of Tailwind Hospitality locations. This position partners closely with General Managers to drive operational excellence, improve financial performance, ensure brand standards, and develop high-performing leadership teams. The Regional Operations Manager serves as the primary operational leader for their assigned region, providing coaching, accountability, and strategic direction while ensuring compliance with company policies, airport requirements, and regulatory standards.
Working collaboratively with the Senior Director of Regional Operations, Operations Excellence team, and Corporate Support departments, this position implements company initiatives, supports business growth, and fosters a culture centered on exceptional guest experiences, operational consistency, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership, coaching, and performance management to General Managers within an assigned region.
- Drive operational excellence by ensuring consistent execution of Tailwind Hospitality's operational standards, guest service expectations, food safety programs, and brand initiatives.
- Monitor and improve key business metrics including sales, labor, cost of goods sold, profitability, inventory controls, and operating expenses.
- Conduct regular business reviews with General Managers and develop measurable action plans to improve operational and financial performance.
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled site visits to evaluate operations, provide coaching, verify compliance, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Partner with Human Resources to support talent acquisition, leadership development, employee engagement, succession planning, and employee relations.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, airport authority requirements, health department regulations, OSHA standards, wage and hour laws, and all applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
- Lead implementation of corporate initiatives, operational programs, technology enhancements, and process improvements throughout the assigned region.
- Support new location openings, acquisitions, operational transitions, and major business initiatives as assigned.
- Collaborate with Culinary, Retail, Finance, Human Resources, Facilities, Marketing, and other corporate departments to achieve company objectives.
- Develop annual operating plans and assist General Managers in achieving established financial and operational goals.
- Maintain regular communication with the Senior Director of Regional Operations regarding business performance, staffing, operational challenges, and strategic opportunities.
- Build and maintain positive working relationships with airport authorities, landlords, business partners, vendors, and key stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, Restaurant Management, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive multi-unit restaurant, retail, or hospitality operations leadership experience.
- Demonstrated experience leading multiple locations with responsibility for financial performance and operational execution.
- Strong knowledge of restaurant financial management including labor, food cost, inventory, budgeting, and profit and loss statements.
- Proven leadership, coaching, and team development skills.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to analyze operational data and implement effective solutions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to influence and build relationships across all levels of the organization.
- Ability to travel extensively (approximately 50-75%) including evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.
- Valid driver's license and ability to obtain all required travel documentation.
- Ability to successfully pass a background investigation.

- Hybrid work environment consisting of corporate office responsibilities, home office work, and frequent travel throughout the assigned region.
- Regular exposure to high-volume restaurant and retail operations located within airport environments.
- Frequent interaction with General Managers, airport leadership, corporate departments, business partners, vendors, and guests.
- Ability to adapt to changing operational priorities while maintaining a high level of responsiveness and professionalism.

Pay: $85,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
