McKesson is looking for a Principal Solution Architect to join a key technical leadership role within the EnterpriseM&AEngineering andArchitectureteam, to help accelerate ourM&Ainitiatives across the Enterprise and drive trust, agility, andautomationforMcKesson’s technologyservices. This role will serve as a critical leadership position in shaping and executing McKesson’s enterprise-wide technologystrategy and primarily focused on Merger & Acquisition (M&A) integration. The PrincipalSolutionArchitect will operate at anarchitecturelevel, partnering with internal and external business and technology teams to definetechnologicalintegration ofroadmaps, establish architectural standards, and ensure seamless alignment with enterprise platforms.
The role requires a combination of technical expertise in solution architecture, strong communication skills, collaborative mindset and leadership skills to engage with business units and technical stakeholders across the enterprise to drive broader impact. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in designing and deliveringnetworksolutions, enabling business outcomes while ensuring adherence to security and compliance requirements.
Serve as the enterprisetechnologyarchitecture authority for merger, acquisition, and divestiture activities, defining scalable integration strategies across acquired entities.
Lead technical due diligence for M&A initiatives, assessingtechnologymaturity, architecture posture,cloud presents,risks, and integration complexity.
Define and execute M&Atechnologyintegration playbooks, including landing zone alignment, identity integration, security harmonization, andnetworkmodernization strategies.
Define and govern enterprisetechnologysolution patterns and reference architecture acrosscloudand hybrid environments, ensuring consistency, reusability, and alignment with long-term platform and security strategy.
Strong knowledge ofload balance, DNS, firewall,networkingtechnologies, microservices architecture, and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools like Terraform.
