We are seeking a Business Development Specialist to drive growth, strengthen referral channels, and support the patient journey from initial interest through decision-making. This is a hybrid role that combines relationship-building, strategic growth initiatives, and direct patient engagement.
You will work cross-functionally with marketing, operations, and clinical teams to expand our reach while also playing a key role in guiding prospective patients through their vision correction journey.
Identify and develop new referral sources, partnerships, and community relationships
Build and maintain relationships with optometrists, healthcare providers, and local businesses
Support outreach initiatives, events, and strategic partnerships to increase patient volume
Track and analyze growth opportunities across locations
Connect with prospective patients to understand their goals, lifestyle needs, and interest in vision correction
Provide guidance and education on available options in a clear, approachable, and personalized way
Support patients through the decision-making process and help move them toward scheduling
Partner with clinical and surgical teams to ensure a smooth transition from interest to procedure
Patient Acquisition & Conversion Optimization
Collaborate with marketing to optimize lead flow, messaging, and engagement strategies
Monitor key performance metrics (lead conversion, show rates, patient acquisition trends)
Identify gaps in the patient journey and recommend improvements
Ensure growth-related workflows (follow-ups, outreach, communication touchpoints) are executed consistently
Work closely with internal teams to align on initiatives and ensure adoption
Continuously evaluate and improve processes that impact patient experience and conversion
Assist in launching new programs, campaigns, and service offerings
Provide feedback from the field on patient behavior, objections, and trends
Contribute to the ongoing evolution of the Modern Vision Correction program
A strong relationship-builder who is comfortable engaging both professionals and prospective patients
Confident communicator who can guide conversations and support decision-making
